What is it and why did I purchase it?
I have been making my own Almond milk for the past 6 months following the realisation that the supposed healthier brand options purchased at supermarkets as well as wholefoods stores were full of unnecessary additives. I happened to be short on time one week and purchased this milk as a time saver as I had forgotten to soak my almonds one evening and had run out of milk which was needed for breakfast.
The Rude health option was on offer at my local Sainsburys at £1.50
(RRP £2.00 -$3.10 - 2.77 euros)
and contained little in the way of additives
Ingredients in Rude health almond milk:
- Natural Spring Water
- Organic Rice
- Organic Italian Almonds (1%)
- Organic Cold-Pressed Sunflower Oil
- Sea Salt

Taste & Personal opinion
This particularly expensive brand of almond milk possesses a very light sweet flavour which is accompanied by the beautiful aroma of rice and almonds.
I have tried this milk in both my baking as well as my smoothies and results have been great, however, even though I adore the taste of this milk I have concluded that this drink should be viewed as treat rather than a daily option due to the sugar count.
The high carbohydrate (10.5g/100mL) and sugar (4.7g/100mL) content of this drink combined with the low protein content (0.2g/100mL) in my personal opinion is not going to keep you full as long.
I personally prefer my homemade almond milk which does keep me fuller for much longer and doesn't cost an arm and a leg although this brand would be my go-to in a pinch.
